In cooperation with the Bonn Centre for Depencency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) of the University of Bonn, the BCDH is pursuing various aspects to support Haitian research in archaeology and cultural heritage protection through new digital methods, including

  • the support of Haitian researchers on site in digital applications, including a video tutorial on the photogrammetric recording of objects
  • Contributions to the planned BCDSS exhibition:
    • Realisation of a video by Haitian scientists on the topic of cultural property protection
    • Augmented reality: reconstruction of aspects of work on a colonial indigo plantation as an example of the 17th century slavery-based economy
